Forgiveness is natural

Permanent relief? I hear you say. Can we really get permanent healing from the pain of our biggest wounds? We can. Forgiveness is a natural and a transformational process — like fire that burns wood to ashes. If you burn a log to ash, you don’t wake up the next day and find a whole log again. It’s been changed. In the same way, if you work through an injury in all the ways that your whole being requires… you are changed. Your own body tells you that this is true.

Total surrender

This is total surrender:

to be what God asks you to be.

To accept that you are in the street

if God wants you to be in the street —

to accept that you are in the palace,

if God wants  you to be in the palace.

To give whatever He asks you to give

whether you are in the street or in the palace —

and to give it with a big smile.

This is the surrender to God.

— Mother Teresa

Come forward

I want you to give yourself wholeheartedly to the evolution of human consciousness too. Starting in your own life today, make an athletic leap to the higher ground that you know is calling you. There is no more room, no more time for fear or withholding from Truth and Love in our world. Come forward! Break out of the bondage of fear and control, and surrender to the flow of sharing your love and inner beauty in your daily engagements. All the help you could possibly need to do all this is right here, right now. Agree to shine in the service of Truth. Become committed.

Be committed

Is it worth it? Can you really make a difference? Yes! Let’s have you in here with both feet, bringing your friends along for reinforcement, and we’ll all keep going until we get it right. Will you be committed too?

Heaven on earth

We are not fundamentally war-like and messed up by virtue of being human. We’re just at the dangerous extreme of our addictions to greed and control over each other and the natural world. We need to get into recovery, collectively. We will grow beyond our chaos and lack of balance. With God’s help and a lot of hard work, we will create a future in which the average human being is one who lives in a state of relaxed loving presence with the inner self, with others, with planet Earth, and with our Creator. On Earth as it is in Heaven.

Dream come true

I am told that there are folks

who refuse to dream

because their dreams have been so seemingly shattered

like dreams that die at birth.

And so they hide their dreams

in small corners of their hearts

and pretend they aren’t there.

But as for me

I am almost sure

that in the Body of Christ

that we call the Church

we have the power

to help each other’s dreams come true.

For in dark moments

when light has hidden its face for a while

we are the stars

meant to shine for each other

And we do!

You are near

O God whom I praise

do not be silent, I cry …

And the sound becomes a song

the voice becomes a word

the Word becomes Flesh

the flesh of Jesus

the flesh of you and me.

Yahwey, I know you are near.

Yahweh …

Is that what we call you

when your presence defies all description?

And you the stranger who walks beside us

makes a dwelling place in us

sits at our table?

Yahweh, I know you are near.

— Macrina Wiederkehr, Seasons of Your Heart, p. 182
